The Book of Exodus tells the powerful saga of the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt under the leadership of Moses. It begins with their oppression and Moses' miraculous birth, leading to his call by God through the burning bush. Moses confronts Pharaoh with demands for freedom, unleashing a series of divine plagues upon Egypt. Eventually, after the tenth plague, Pharaoh relents, and the Israelites escape through the parted Red Sea. In the wilderness, Moses receives the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, establishing a covenant between God and the people of Israel. Despite experiencing God's provision and guidance, the Israelites struggle with faith and obedience, highlighted by incidents like the golden calf and murmuring against Moses.
The Next Temple -“From Stone to Spirit to Glory”

The Next Temple -"From Stone to Spirit to Glory" Exodus 25:8 (KJV) From the beginning of Scripture, God's desire has always been to dwell with His people. The temple was never merely about a building; it was about the presence of God among those He redeemed. In the Old Testament, God commanded Israel to build the tabernacle and later the temple so that His presence could dwell among them. These structures reminded the people that a holy God desired fellowship with sinful humanity. However, Scripture also shows that when God's people turned their hearts away from Him, the glory of God departed even though the buildings remained. The temple could stand in Jerusalem while the hearts of the people were far from the Lord. Jesus Himself confronted this when He cleansed the temple and warned that religion without true devotion to God turns sacred places into empty forms. The New Testament reveals the greater fulfillment of the temple. Jesus Christ is the true Temple, the place where God and man meet. Through His death and resurrection, believers are now made the temple of the Holy Spirit, where God dwells within His people. The story ultimately reaches its climax in eternity, where there will be no temple building at all because God and the Lamb will dwell directly with His people forever. Our message reminds us that the real question is not about physical temples but about God's presence in our lives. The next temple God desires to fill is not made of stone, but the hearts of those who belong to Him.

"Miriam, Daughter of Yocheved"(Jochebed) The 24th of Nissan, 2448 (April 14, 1313 BCE) was approximately 3,337 years ago from today. On this Resurrection morning, we turn our attention to Miriam, the daughter of Yocheved, a woman of courage, conviction, and prophetic praise. In Exodus 15:20–21, we find Miriam taking up her timbrel in triumph, leading the women of Israel in a celebratory dance after God miraculously delivered His people through the Red Sea. This moment of spontaneous praise is not just a historical note—it is a prophetic foreshadowing of the victory believers celebrate on Easter Sunday. This sermon explores Miriam's life as a tapestry of faith, deliverance, and resurrection hope. From watching over baby Moses at the Nile to leading a nation in praise, Miriam's journey reflects how God raises up ordinary people for extraordinary moments. She was more than a sister—she was a prophetess, a worship leader, and a voice of hope in a newly liberated generation. On Easter, we celebrate the ultimate act of deliverance: the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave.Just as the Red Sea was split open to bring Israel out of bondage, so the tomb was opened to bring us out of death into eternal life. Miriam's song of praise becomes our song of resurrection.Let us, like Miriam, lift up our timbrels and voices in celebration today. For He who parted the sea has also conquered the grave!

Embracing the Gift of Rest

Embracing the Gift of Rest.Exodus 20:9-11; Hebrews 4:9-10 (KJV) Exodus 20:9-11 and Hebrews 4:9-10, the concept of rest is portrayed as a divine gift and a sacred command. Exodus 20:9-11 establishes the Sabbath as a day of rest, set apart by God for physical rejuvenation and spiritual reflection. It underscores the importance of ceasing from labor to honor God and rejuvenate one's spirit.Hebrews 4:9-10 extends this idea, presenting rest as a promise of spiritual fulfillment. It highlights that true rest is not merely about physical cessation but about entering into God's rest—a state of deep spiritual peace and completeness that is found in relationship with Him.The message invites us to appreciate and fully engage with this divine provision. It encourages us to:Recognize the Sabbath as a sacred time to renew our spirit and align with God's purpose.Embrace the inner peace that comes from setting aside our everyday concerns and focusing on our spiritual well-being.Surrender our burdens and distractions, allowing us to experience God's rest in its fullest sense.By embracing the gift of rest, we honor God's command, find true peace, and connect more deeply with His promise of spiritual fulfillment.

Serving in Christ. Exodus 31:1-6;Ephesians 4:1-16In reflecting on Exodus 31:1-6 and Ephesians 4:1-16, we find a profound call to service and dedication in Christ. These passages illuminate the importance of recognizing and utilizing the unique gifts and talents that God has bestowed upon each of us. Just as Bezalel and Oholiab were empowered by the Spirit to skillfully craft the tabernacle, we are reminded that our abilities are meant to be used in service to God's kingdom.Ephesians emphasizes the unity and diversity within the body of Christ, underscoring the idea that we are all called to work together for the common purpose of building up the Church. Whether through leadership, teaching, or acts of compassion, every believer has a vital role to play in the edification of the body.As we conclude our reflection, let us be inspired to embrace our roles as servants of Christ, faithfully using our gifts for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom. May we walk in unity, empowered by the Spirit, and committed to the work of building up one another in love.

The Radiance of Divine Encounter. Exodus 34:35depicts the aftermath of Moses' encounter with God atop Mount Sinai. After receiving the Ten Commandments and communing with the divine presence, Moses descends from the mountain, his face aglow with the radiance of his encounter with God. This radiance is so intense that it frightens the Israelites, prompting Moses to wear a veil whenever he speaks to them. The verse symbolizes the transformative power of encountering the divine, which fills Moses with a visible manifestation of God's presence, inspiring awe and reverence among the people. It serves as a reminder of the profound impact that divine encounters can have on individuals and their communities, illuminating their path with the light of spiritual enlightenment. As we go forth, may the radiance of divine encounter be evident in our lives, drawing others to the love and light of our Heavenly Father.

The Passover of Redemption.Exodus 12:3-28God's commandments, and the transmission of sacred tradition. Through the selection of the lamb, the observance of the feast, and the fulfillment of the promise, the Israelites reaffirm their covenant-al relationship with God and commemorate their liberation from bondage. The Passover narrative serves not only as a historical account but also as a timeless testament to the enduring faithfulness of God and the enduring resilience of his people.Moses instructs the elders of Israel to transmit the tradition of the Passover to future generations. The narrative of redemption is to be preserved and perpetuated, fostering a collective consciousness of their identity as a redeemed community.Exodus 12 summarizes the essence of Israelite faith: deliverance from bondage, obedience to divine command, and the perpetual transmission of sacred tradition. It stands as a timeless testament to the enduring faithfulness of God and the resilient spirit of His people throughout history.

The Importance of God's Name. A Name Like No Other. Exodus 3:1-6,9-15.God's name reveals he is the all-powerful God whom we can completely trust.God's name reveals His righteousness of His nature.Whoever calls on Jesus name will be saved. His name encourages us to trust Him with our well being.God is a holy God we are to approach with reverential fear.vv.1-6. We can trust that God will do what He says he will do. vv. 9-12. God's name reflects Hi Sovereign character that draws us into a trusting relationship with him. vv.13-15Moses fled from Egypt to the backside of the desert when he took the life of an Egyptian taskmaster to save an Israelite slave.Moses became a shepherd instead of a prince from Egypt.God had plans for Moses to lead his people out of bondage to freedom.God's name carries more importance than all other names of history. When God called Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, Moses needed to know the One sending Him.God revealed an important aspect of His nature through His name: "I AM THAT I AM". God was saying to Moses, "I have always been and will always be.I am the present tense God of the Hebrews who has the right to call them out and set you apart to lead them."We live in a world of unbelief and skepticism. People are ignorant of God, and they question God's existence and power to save and deliver man. This fact should not stir us to reject God's call; rather, it should stir us to declare God's power to save and deliver people. People need God; they need to be delivered and saved from the enslavement and death of this world. Therefore, we must declare the power of God to save and deliver them.

Jethro and Moses. Exodus 18:9-11,14-21;Deuteronomy 1:13,15; Proverbs 9:9. Mentoring in the life of Moses.. Learning from others shortens the time frame and lessens the pain and frustration . Wise individuals let others go through the stress and learn from their experiences .We need three types of people in our lives: friends (those who walk alongside us whom we can mutually support and encourage) mentors (those who share wisdom and life lessons and challenge us to grow and fulfill our potential), and those we mentor (those we support, invest in, and challenge to grow just as others have done for us) .As we have been mentored, we can do the same for someone else . Everyone can profit from the wisdom and experience of others .): Moses, the great Israelite leader of the exodus out of Egypt, profited from a mentoring relationship with his father-in-law, Jethro, in the early years of the journey out of Egypt .We strengthen our relationships as we help one another walk wisely and in step with Christ . As the body of Christ, we are to support one another in being the men and women God called us to be .

THE IMPORTANCE OF GOD'S PRESENCE Exodus 33:1-23 Will We Be Desperate for God's Presence, or Will We Depend on Ourselves? We can learn from Moses' and Israel's desperation for God's presence. We have a need we cannot overlook (33:1-6). We have a privilege we must not neglect (33:7-11). We have an assignment we cannot complete (33:12-16). How can we meet with God? We do not have to go somewhere. We do not have to pitch a tent. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have immediate access to God thorough the Spirit (Eph 2:18). You are the tent! You take the tent everywhere you go because God's presence is in you as a believer. We can commune with God. He speaks to us directly in His written Word, and we speak to Him through worship and prayer. Paul prayed for the Ephesian Christians that they would "be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit" Eph 3:16. Communion with God—what a privilege!Lord, help me to know you, to know your ways, and to know your favor.Help me to walk in your presence and in your peace.Reveal to me your glory, your power, and your majesty, so that my life is filled with your radiance.

Carry On Exodus 14:1-16 The First Crisis of Israel in the Wilderness Crossing the Red Sea: God's Great Deliverance. Life is often cruel, very cruel. Hopes that have risen to great heights sink in disappointment. "Where is God when we really need Him?" becomes the cry of the human heart. - You notice when the Israelites were at the Red Sea , God didn't take them around the Red Sea , He didn't build a bridge over the Red Sea , He took them through it. And they could have stood on the sidelines for the rest of their lives, saying, "We believe God's going to save us." But it wasn't until they stepped into the water that it started happening. God is at work in this world. He is building His church. The big question is, where do we fit in? Will we be like the wicked servant that buried his talent in the ground or like the fruitless fig tree that was "cumbering the ground?" Essentially, just taking up space. Or will we be like the little boy who gave to the Lord all that he had, even if it was just a few loaves and fish. It is nothing to the Lord to help by many or by few. What is your personal Red Sea? What is it that scares you to death, that frightens you? What is it that's got you worried? That seems an impossible barrier? That looks unpredictable? That seems overwhelming? That's your Red Sea. What is God saying to you today?

GOD FILLS OUR EMPTINESS WITH MEANING.Ecclesiastes 12:1-8 ;Exodus 16:3-5Solomon preaches a good and effective sermon in the book of Ecclesiastes to counsel the youth of the world. Solomon admonishes us to keep our minds on God, to allow Him to influence and control our decisions and conduct. These are the days that God fills our Emptiness with meaning! What kind of day is this for you? Empty Stockings. Is this a choosing day? Choose life, choose Jesus. Is this a changing day?Let Him help you through the changes. Could this be a concluding day?Be ready! Whether you are saved or lost, if there is a need in your life; that need can and will be met if you will seek the Lord for it right now!You will not be able to avoid God in the after life! Life is empty if Jesus is left out, yet it is full of glory and hope if He is let in. . .

Rescued By the Grace of God Exodus 1:1-10 The very first passage of Exodus deals with the great theme of Exodus: deliverance. God had delivered Israel in the past. Therefore, the implication is clear: God will deliver Israel in the future. No matter what the trouble may be, no matter how terrifying and hopeless, no matter how helpless the circumstances may seem—God will deliver Israel again, deliver them just as He had delivered them in the past. God always saves His people. He has always saved them when they were in trouble. Therefore, the implication for us is clear: God will always save and deliver us. God cares and will help us no matter what the circumstances are...Even if the situation is terrifying and hopeless—even if we are helpless—God will deliver and save us through the circumstances. He will even work the terrifying circumstances out for our good. 1. A Hateful Culture 2. A Harmful Culture 3. A Helpful Hand Even when the laws are contrary to the Bible, and even when the leaders don't know the Lord, you can still take your stand. You can still fear the Lord And you can still know that there is a helping hand reaching out to you don't know what to do. Everything may seem claw and you feel like you have no control and no ability to see what is happening. But God is still working, and we can trust Him.Even when the laws are contrary to the Bible, and even when the leaders don't know the Lord, you can still take your stand. You can still fear the Lord And you can still know that there is a helping hand reaching out to you.

The Sound of the Shofar: (5781)

The Sound of the Shofar: (5781)Exodus 19:8-20 / Joshua 6:1-9/ Judges 7:16,18 Commentators have tracked the word "Shofar" in 7 parts of the Hebrew Scripture: Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Joshua Chronicles and Psalms. I am only going to use three scriptures for tonight. On Friday evening, September 18, 2020, Jews will begin to celebrate the passing of another year. It will all begin with sunset in Jerusalem around 7:05PM to end September 19, 2020 and follow the various time zones around the globe becoming 1 Tishri 5781. Rosh Hashanah will be observed for two days, simply because of the 24 time zones around the world. It will take two days for all Jews around the globe to observe the significance of that special day. Rosh Hashanah will mark the beginning of the year 5781, which Jews believe to be 5,781 years since Creation. It was God who stood behind the purple Hill of Eternity and mapped out the plans of this World. I Quote Colo. Jackson, "HE stepped up on nothing. Reached with nothing back through nowhere until He got somewhere. Then My God grabbed hold of something brought something back through nowhere. And Then Hung something on nothing." This speaks to how we get to God. And it's almost as if a shofar sounds in the distance every time a sinner -Believes, -Repents, -Confesses Jesus as his Lord,-And seals the deal by allowing themselves to be buried in the waters of baptism. It's Jesus that forgives our sins. It's Jesus who changes our lives. And it's Jesus that gives us a reason to live every day of every year.

How to Stay In The Game

"How to Stay in The Game," based on Exodus 15:22-27, focuses on principles for enduring and thriving in challenging circumstances. The passage describes the Israelites' journey shortly after their deliverance from Egypt, where they faced bitter waters at Marah. Despite their hardships, God provided a solution through Moses, turning the bitter water sweet and promising to protect them from diseases if they obeyed His commands. Trust God's Provision: Just as God transformed bitter water into sweetness, He can turn difficult situations around for our good. Obey God's Commands: The promise of protection from diseases was contingent upon the Israelites' obedience. Similarly, staying in God's favor and blessings often involves obeying His instructions. Persevere in Faith: The Israelites faced challenges immediately after their deliverance, but God remained faithful. Similarly, enduring faith and trust in God are crucial for staying resilient in life's trials. Seek God's Guidance: Moses sought God's guidance for a solution, demonstrating the importance of seeking God's wisdom and direction in every circumstance. The message encourages listeners to maintain faith, obedience, and reliance on God's guidance to navigate challenges effectively and stay aligned with His purposes. It highlights God's faithfulness in providing solutions and protection when His people remain faithful and obedient.

Generational Curses

"Generational Curses," based on Exodus 20:4-6, explores the biblical concept of generational consequences for disobedience to God's commands. In these verses, part of the Ten Commandments, God warns against making and worshiping idols, emphasizing that He visits the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Him, but shows steadfast love to thousands of those who love Him and keep His commandments. Understanding Generational Consequences: It explains that our actions and choices can have lasting impacts not only on ourselves but on future generations. God's justice may lead to consequences passed down through familial lines. Breaking the Cycle: The message encourages listeners to break any negative cycles or patterns of disobedience by turning to God, seeking forgiveness, and choosing to follow His commandments. God's Steadfast Love: Despite the warnings of generational consequences, the message highlights God's abundant love and mercy towards those who love Him and keep His commandments. It emphasizes the hope and promise found in God's grace for those who seek Him. Personal Reflection and Application: Listeners are prompted to reflect on their own lives and families, considering how their choices may impact future generations and how they can align themselves with God's will to break negative cycles and experience His blessings. The message on "Generational Curses" challenges listeners to take responsibility for their actions, seek reconciliation with God, and strive to live in obedience to His commandments to experience His enduring love and blessings across generations.

God Has Big Plans for You

Exodus 4:10-17 recounts the interaction between God and Moses, where Moses expresses doubt in his ability to speak and lead the Israelites. God reassures Moses that He will be with him, guiding his words and actions. This passage emphasizes God's ability to use ordinary individuals for extraordinary purposes, demonstrating His faithfulness and power. The message "God Has Big Plans for You" is a reminder that God's plans for each person are significant and purposeful, just as He had a specific mission for Moses despite his initial insecurities. It encourages individuals, like Jesse Jacob Lipnack, to trust in God's provision and guidance, knowing that He equips them for the tasks He sets before them. Luke 6:37, referenced in the message, teaches about forgiveness and judgment, emphasizing the importance of extending grace and mercy to others as God has shown to us. This complements the theme of God's plans, highlighting the character of God and His desire for His people to live according to His principles. Overall, the message encourages faith, obedience, and trust in God's plans, drawing from biblical examples like Moses and Jesus' teachings in Luke, to inspire individuals like Jesse Jacob Lipnack to fulfill their God-given potential and live out their purpose.

A Biblical Journey in Discipleship. Gen.1:1This lesson is designed to lead people to Christ or give a disciple a understanding of the one true God of the bible.'God was and is and will always be.The One true God is a triune God. God does not tempt anyone with evil.God knows we cannot save ourselves.Jesus said He is God.Jesus Paid the ultimate price for my sins on the cross. The resurrection proves Jesus Christ is God.Salvation is trusting Christ alone.rejecting truth results in eternal separation from God.God promises you real life now and perfect peace, love, and joy with Him forever. The world is a mess. We are a wealthy nation, with a lot of comforts and alot of power. In fact, the only thing we don't have id peace.I'm not sure if you noticed. But our famlies and nation are in shambles, political division is near historic levels, and people are depressed and There is no peace between us and God, there is no peace between us, and there is no peace within us.Our sin's penalty has been paid and the power of sin has been broken in our hearts, so we are no longer enslaved to it. the Divisions of age, race, class and nationality are irrelevant when we all come to God through the Cross. But God is not through. heaven and earth will be brought together in Christ when he comes again. Our peace now is just a foretaste of the total peace when Jesus returns and sin is abolished once and for all.The secret is not to realize that peace is not in ourselves or our efforts but in Christ. When we look for peace, we will only find more chaos. But when we rest in Christ, we will have peace on our Journey in Discipleship.

One More Night with the frogs. Exodus 8:1-15.It is sad when people in the world had rather spend time in the filth of the world than with God and all the cleanness represented. This reptile is mentioned in the Old Testament only in connection with one of the plagues which fell on the land of Egypt Exodus 8:2-14 ; Psalms 78:45 ; 105:30. In the New Testament this word occurs only in Revelation 16:13, where it is referred to as a symbol of uncleanness. Frogs were considered sacred and, as a result, could not be killed. The frogs filled all the temples and there by defiled them and prevented the people from worshipping any of their other gods. Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay! Sin Is Universal and it touches every life. It separates the sinner from God. Because of Pharaoh's refusal to comply with the command of God, he and his people were required to spend another night with the frogs. Tomorrow! Will you choose to spend another night with the frogs, that is, in your sins? Or will you come to Jesus Christ for salvation today? There are consequences that follow each decision. What will you decide today? Will it be sin or the Savior? Will it be Heaven or Hell? Will it be forgiveness or the frogs?
