Two Triumphs

We have heard about the triumphal entry of Palm Sunday. This is in some ways sad because many of the great crowd that thronged Jerusalem that day did not really understand the reason why Messiah was coming to his people as joyously foretold by the prophet Zechariah. He was coming to suffer at the hands of his own people and to die for their sins. And the other triumph, you know, in the Gospels, it was surprising for me to realize this, but there's the triumph of Palm Sunday. But there's also another one that comes later. And we'll come to that in today's message. The other triumph, the following Sunday, was His resurrection. And especially for believers, that's a great triumph because we triumph in Christ because He rose from the dead.

Our eyes need to be open to the harvest of people who may be won to Christ. Christ sends us to reap where others have labored. We should often think about how much people need the Lord and think of how we might present the gospel to them.

5 Monosylable Words

5 Words which are very important for you to think about and understand in order to be saved. Grace, Man, God, Christ and Faith. Salvation is the gift of God. Repentance goes to our heart. Repentance is costly. It not a simple change of mind. The change of saving faith takes place on the heart level. Repentance and faith is serious business with God.

Longing for God

An older David seems to be getting worn down and says that he is cast down. He longs for the Living God. And so he struggles with his soul being disquieted. But he ultimately reasoned his way to the idea that he should not be cast down, but hope in God for the help of His countenance. We should do the same thing.

A Living Faith & A Dead Faith

A Study on Faith which is Living and Faith is Dead. The Living Faith has works and the Dead Faith has no works. The kind of works that these are, in the context, is the works which minister to those who have real physical need. And in Rahab's case, hiding the spies who came to Jericho, and showing her faith in the only True and Living God.

Mary's Magnificat

There is much that we can learn about God's mercy and His Promise to be faithful and gracious to His people in all generations. Mary was resting and trusting in God's promise of fulfillment in the birth of her Son, who would be the Savior of the World. He who is mighty has done great things for me, she says. Mary magnified and rejoiced in her God and Savior. We too, can rejoice in Mary's rejoicing, and say - "Great things He has done!"

Biblical Peace & God's Grace

This message gives an overview of the subject of Biblical Peace from the book of Romans; peace being found through Christ's becoming a propitiation and satisfying the wrath of God on behalf of all those trusting in Him. They now find peace coming to them from God, in doing good and persevering in it. They are filled with joy and peace in believing in Him. They find that being spiritually minded is a life of joy and peace to them. They love to bring the gospel of peace to others. As they grow up into Christ, the God of Peace is with them and will help them to crush Satan under their feet.
